Jon Kizer
Founder & President
Jon Kizer is Founder and President of Direct Path, Inc. and Direct Path Alliance. Jon is currently responsible for corporate strategy, alliances, sales, marketing and executive sponsorship of Direct Path engagements. He leverages his 22 years of practical business experience to help solve complex problems for Direct Path clients.
Prior to starting Direct Path in early 2007, Jon was Director of State & Local Government for Haverstick Consulting, Inc. While at Haverstick he created and executed the strategy to grow revenue over 1000%. He developed executive client relationships and formed the consulting teams to successfully deliver over $50M in business and technology contracts in 2005-2006.
Jon played a key role in defining the critical path for various enterprise initiatives for the State of Indiana, including components related to planning, program management, business process improvement, organizational change management, financial analysis and technology enablement. He also negotiated scope, terms, conditions, timeline and financial commitment for several multi-million dollar contracts.
While at Haverstick, Jon ensured 100% client satisfaction by working closely with both executive and delivery personnel to meet and exceed client expectations. He joined the organization as an account executive in 2000 and was also Director of Business Development for the Indianapolis branch.
Previously, Jon held a variety of management and sales positions with firms in the consulting, technology and consumer research industries.
Jon began his career with Birch Scarborough Research as a Local Market Manager in Atlanta, GA in 1988 and then later became Midwest Regional Manager in Chicago. At Birch Scarborough he was responsible for advising and training owners, presidents and general managers of radio stations in the best ways to leverage consumer and media research to increase sales and profits.
Jon earned degrees in Telecommunications and Marketing from Ball State University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
In addition to his professional involvement, Jon is active in the community. He is a consistent volunteer at Wheeler Mission, Lighthouse Mission, and Shepherd Community Center where he serves meals to the homeless and assists with the annual Christmas store. He is also the co-director of the Grace Community Church Basketball League, which is an outreach to over 200 men in the Indianapolis area. Jon also is a member of the Rotary Club of Indianapolis.
